I was born in the Philippines, raised all over the world, and moved to Satellite Beach, Florida my freshman year of high school. I recently graduated from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where I studied Political Science with an International Relations track and an International Studies minor. The idea of joining the Peace Corps originated during my senior year of high school when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. During my junior year of college I realized that the Peace Corps would hopefully be the doorway to my future. Little did I know that after one year of enduring the extensive application process, paperwork, and interviews that I would have received an invitation to serve as a Youth Development Coordinator in Cameroon, Africa.
My family has been my #1 support system throughout this process, from giving me the idea to apply to providing me with basically everything I'm packing in my suitcase. Without their love and support I probably wouldn't have signed up in the first place, and for that I eternally grateful and I wholeheartedly thank them for being the catalyst of this next chapter in my life (Love you guys!)
